A responsive brand Identity
for a disruptive school
EDIT is a school dedicated to the areas of digital design, marketing and creativity. With locations in Lisboa and Porto, they are at the forefront of digital education in Portugal, constantly trying to build bridges between the school, its students and the creative industry.
They asked VOLTA to create a new (responsive) identity for the school, using their very recognisable colour scheme (yellow and black), the yellow dot, and a new signature: Disruptive Digital Education.
We based our work in a 4x4 grid, with each square working as a metaphor for the most basic digital element, the pixel. Each EDIT letter has its own frame: it expands and contracts, interacting with the other frames. The combinations between the frames sizes and positions (always within the 4x4 grid) are endless and truly respond to EDIT’s request of having a “responsive” identity, that portrays their 100% digital attitude.
