Creating the identity concept
for a weeklong Architecture
Summer School in Porto
Porto Academy is a yearly international architecture Summer School organized by Indexnewspaper. A weeklong of workshops and masterclasses staged at Porto's Faculty of Architecture - FAUP (by the world renowned portuguese architect Álvaro Siza), it had its first edition in July 2013. With over 200 participants from 35 countries, and some of the most exciting contemporary architects, it was a great success.
VOLTA has created Porto Academy's visual concept since its first edition, based on the idea that every architect creates its own identity, its fingerprint, its pattern, when designing a project. A concept that was maintained for the following editions of 2014 and 2015.
The development of this idea led us to create geometric 2 colour patterns for every architect, drawn out of one of their iconic projects, creating an exclusive visual identity for every lecturer.
